The School of Architecture, the School of Early Childhood Education and the "Total Quality Management and Innovative Implementations in Education" Master’s Program at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens, the School of Architectural Engineering at the Technical University of Crete and the Department of Early Childhood Education at the University of Ioannina, jointly organize the Interdisciplinary Conference with international participation titled:
The Organizing Committee invites authors to submit paper proposals for a 15-20’ oral presentation which will be related to the main thematic fields listed below:
I. Transformations of schools’ spaces and educational change
II. The multimodal intersection of urban and educational spaces
III. The city as a learning environment
IV. Introducing innovations for the upgrade of the educational environment
The contest aims at presenting the “child’s view” on educational spaces, which constitute the context of everyday lives of children. Through the photographic lens, the children are invited to document whatever they consider as interesting: it could be the “most beautiful” part of the school space, or, on the contrary, the “ugliest” spot; it could be their favorite or their least favorite.
All pictures will be projected during the congress. After a selection process, some of them will also be presented in printed form, at the congress venue. In addition to this, there will be a prize (a digital camera) for the winner.
